Ebay Advise needed: Paid for item via Paypal, Item not delivered :(

Successfully bid on a motherboard on the 16th of Sep.
Today 29th Sep no communication and NO motherboard.

Before the auction all questions were answered within a day. Even after auction seller stated that he would send me a mail as soon as he sent item. That was on 16th Sep.

Paid via Paypal BUT didn't think and funds were taken from bank account and not credit card

Sent 4 mails from hotmail and Ebay account over the last 2 weeks and not one reply. Noticed that seller gave someone else he had purchased from good feedback on the 19th (3days after i paid him).

What's my best option... to wait / contact Ebay/Paypal or something else ??

    Contact ebay!

Chances are he'll reply to ebay if they email him. Does he have decent feedback?

firstly, and i cannot stress this enough CHECK YOUR SPAM FILTER, i have had so many problems with spam filters (especially AOLs...) on ebay

    file a complaint with ebay
file a complaint with paypal, you are insured with them so they will give you your cash back
file a complaint with square trade
if none of that works there is the small claims court

    Good point...
I have a hotmail account. which accepts all emails from ebay (received other recent emails from ebay no problems) Checked my junk email folder (junk email filter set to enhanced/ deliver to folder and delete later).
I have received emails from this person before (so these are not being blocked)
I would have hoped that after 4 emails through ebay and a 2 week wait he would have replied back to either my hotmail account, failing that to the message section of my ebay account.

PayPal are normally very good when it comes to this sort of thing, you should easily get your money back by filing a complaint with them!

The seller had standard buyer protection according to Ebay as his rating was 63 with 94.4%

Is it best to file complaint through Paypal Resolution Centre or through Ebay Dispute Console ? Somebody told me that if I went through Ebay they would deduct £15 admin fee .. is that true... ?? !!

    Hi there,

    Check out

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/tp/espp...igibility.html

Explains eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program: Process.

You will only be charged £15 processing costs on your reimbursement. Maximum reimbursement for any claim is £105.00 (£120 - £15).

    States on this page:

'If you paid for your eBay transaction with PayPal, you'll need to go through PayPal's Buyer Complaint Process. eBay and PayPal work closely together to help buyers resolve their transaction problems quickly and effectively.'

    https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/we...-buyer-outside

Hope this page helps, make sure you follow the process.

Personally I'd use PayPal, they are in my mind the better of the two but they are of course the same company. I've never filed a complaint against a Ebay user so I've no idea on the fee.
