    x-fi problems with micophones

    Hi can anyone help ive got a x-fi fatality soundcard,I cant get the microphone to work on either the breakout box or the soundcard socket.its on windows xp pro 64 newest drivers installed.if i put the mic level to max all i get is backfeed though the speakers. .Ive tried everything i can think of

    Erm, that quite normal mate. Turn the mic level down or move it away from the speakers.
