    ActiveSync Problems

    Hi there,

I have just purchase a new PDA, although I am quite excited by it, I start to be very upset with the activesync.

When I install everything first time, everything work fine. It synchronises my outlook (Task, Calendar and contact file). I am using Office 2003 Pro. If I then add or delete something on the pda, it sill synchronise fine. If I add something on py PC, it adds it to the PDA, if I try do delete something from the PC, it causes an error during the following synchronisation:

ActivSync encountered a problem on the desktop
    Support Code: 85010014

From then on, it is impossible to synchronise anything, the same error keeps happening constantly. To make it work again I must delete the device from my PC then reinstall everything. Then I can do the first synchronisation alright until the problems described above.

I am using activesync 4.1 and my outlook connect to a Kerio Mailserver. I have tried to repair outlook as different forum suggested, but it doesn't fix it. I am not sure if the problem comes from activesync or outlook.

If anyone can help. I will be very grateful.

    1) with the device NOT connected
to the desktop, open activesync and delete the device. This will automatically delete the calendar etc entries in your device upon syncing. Thus it is not for faint of heart, only as a last resort.

    (2) connect the device and start active sync. It will run you through the setup for a new device.
Click on those things you want to sync.

    (3) let it start syncing.

    Another possible solution:

"I had the same problem and found that I had unchecked the Favorites Check box in ActiveSync/tools/options, then mad a change in that folder. My pc and axim could not sync. I checked the box and bam, I was good to go."

    Another possible solution:

In outlook, go under HELP do a "detect and repair" (be sure to close any other email applications PRIOR to doing this)
