I'd say it was something to do nVidia (nv4), but that is a guess. Try installing some different graphics card driver or motherboard driver? (I use 77.77 for graphics).

Alternatively, you can try a fresh installation of Windows.

Ok well I’ve now tried a range of driver and I’m still getting the same problems.

    Drivers tested:

    gfx: 66.81, 77.77, 81.98, 82.65
    chipset: 6.65, 6.66, 6.70

I’ve also notice that the problem seems very intermittent, sometimes the game will play for hours without a problem and other times it doesn’t even get past the games splash screens without crashing.

I’m going to contact xfx and asus today/tomorrow to see if they have any suggestions and if not I think ill be sending the parts back.

Hey I had a similiar issue. Is ther HD new? Try a new install with a different HD. I bet that will cure it. Even if it is new.

The HD is new. Unfortunately I don’t have a spare HD to try at the moment, there all in use.

I plan to try the RAM from my main system tomorrow to makes sure it’s not that and I’m also going to do a final Format and clean install of windows. But after that I’m stumped.

Ok well I’ve now tried the RAM from my main system and a different HDD with a clean install of windows and the problem still isn’t solved.

The only things left it could be is either the CPU, Motherboard or GFX card, but i think its less likely to be the CPU as I’ve ran Prime95 for hours without problem.

I’ve emailed xfx but they haven’t responded in over a week so I plan to email them again this weekend along with ASUS.
