How to COMPLETLEY remove Internet Explorer

When i re-installed Windows XP Pro internet explorer had been taking off my computer (Well so i thought!), went to add/remove program where it no longer is, but still is on my computer, i have deleted the registry files for it, i need to delete this before i can re-install it. In
    C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer
I have 4 items which when deleted automatically appear again so cannot be wiped! The files are:
    iexplore.exe
    hmmapi.dll
    iedw.exe
    Connection Wizard (A folder)

Does anyone know how i can completely get rid of this before installing a new one (When i try to install the new one it either says that i already have internet explorer or that my microsoft cannot be validated lol!)

    Thanks!

Nlite is for building an ISO with items added or stripped out (IE as well) as you feel appropriate (as well as tweaking the resulting install and automating it etc). It isn't for modifying an existing installed version of the OS.

It's probably a much better idea to keep the thread for anyone else who has the same problem
