Top of TFT has started showing poor colour

The top few inches of my tft have suddenly gone murkier than the rest of my display.

At the bottom the colour is perfect with white whites. As you look up the display is fades into a funny light brown/yellow/off-white colour.

how can i tell if this is my graphics card or my monitor (or somethign else)? Has anyone else experienced this?

Backlight failure, eg, you're screwed.

Is this something i can easily get it replaced for?

I wouldn't of thought so, Your probably going to need to return it to the shop - or if still under warrenty contact the manufacturer.

If you can't do the above get yourself a cheap reliable CRT .

Ill try to get it replaced then. Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately a crt wont fit on my desk and wont be easy to ship to and from uni next year.
