Mini cluster of 2 PCs, possible?

I know this is probably impossible, and would be done alot more if it was possible, but, if I had two PCs similar to those in my Spec, would it be possible to rig them both together? Maybe with a short optical network cable?
So that they kind of "shared the workload" and therefore ran my system faster?
