White screen on startup?

Well my PC works but this is just something that's becoming increasingly annoying the last while...
After the PC has been off a good while when it is switched on i just get a white screen, it flickers twice and then just stays white, though the hard drive is running, but if i turn it off and on again it runs fine! Wondering what the problem is? It ONLY happens when the PC is off for a considerable period of time?

thats quite a unique prob, ive heard of a black screen, but white, it sounds more like a monitor issue than a PC issue, see if u can try another monitor to elimate that first

Sounds like a dry joint or bad connection in either the lead/monitor or the video card itself, the real test is to try another monitor and /or the gfx.
