Drag and Drop woes...from an external drive..

    Running XP Pro, 3 G ram, athlon 64 3500...

I am an audio engineer and have to transfer some files from a DVD Ram disc(BWF files)...I have an external universal dvd ram drive, (USB2.0)..every time I try to drag and drop the files, either the PC freezes up, or the transfer gets about 3/4 of the way through and stops..(the "flying documents" are still flying and landing in the folder, but nothing on the progress bar past 3/4 or so..) I know it isnt the drive, I just bought a new one to replace what I thought was a bad drive....

    Please help!

Ive got to get this done.

Try putting the files on the DVD disc on a memory stick of floppy disc on another pc and then transferring it to your PC, maybe the DVD disc is to blame?

Try copying them off in smaller batches then and see what happens...
