How exactly are you capturing from the camcorder? Analogue or Digital? What method?
I don't think that IRQ's are causing your problems tbh... Have you cleaned the system up before attempting capture? What spec is the PC you are using as video work can be quite intensive...?
    AMD X2 @ 2.6Ghz, X1800XL @ 540/600

    • Max Tractor's system

      • CPU:
      • 95w 1055T@x4-3.5Ghz-1.15v
      • Memory:
      • Samsung Green 30nm low voltage 2x4GB@1.26v
      • Storage:
      • Corsair 3 60GB-Sandisk Extreme 240GB

I would clean the OS up/defrag/delete temp files etc

Turn off anything running in the background anti virus etc, and then try the capture, and leave it alone while it is running
