Sony Vaio PCV-RS404 desktop sound driver?

Right - Vaio-link.comhave made things impossible. The won't accept the model/serial code.
I need the Audio driver for it.
The Device PnP ID is: VEN_8086&DEV_24D5&SUBSYS_815B104D&REV_02

I believe its a realtek ALC somethingorother, but installing the realtek AC'97 drivers crashes the system leaving all the audio stuff installed but the multimedia audio controller installed
Can anyone get the sony right AC'97 audio drivers for me please

    Try here: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...lName=Windows* XP Professional&lang=eng

These are the correct drivers for your soundcard (look on the motherboard and you should see a small chip marked AD1981 / AD1981B).
    AMD X2 @ 2.6Ghz, X1800XL @ 540/600
