Water cooling flow & setup help.

Just need a little help to find out if what I have in mind is actually possible (first time water cooler).

I've drawn a diagram with 2 flow setups, not sure which is best or even if any of them are..

Anyone have an opinion on a setup? Idealy I'd like to keep the main components where they are, i.e pump, res, rad.

Here's my recommendations, take coolant from the bottom of the reservoir, into the pump, into the radiator, into the cpu, into the vga block, then back up into the top of the reservior. There'll be a bit of natural heat disapation in the reservoir, and pumping into the radiator from there will bring it down more ready to hit the CPU block.

Will that flow ok? It's not too far for the water to travel vertical to the res?

Just seen a rig with the same setup that has it's flow as -
Pump to Res, Res to VGA, VGA to CPU, CPU to Rad, Rad to Pump

Everything I've read says the order doesn't really matter as much as keeping the length of tubing as short as possible and avoiding kinks. Otherwise, the water temperature will eventually reach equilibrium. A big radiator will make the biggest difference to water temperature and by extrapolation, CPU/GPU temps.

    Cheers,
    Stephen
