Hexus forums/trust login query

(sorry if this belongs elsewhere)
I have a hexus trust account (username Arthur) which I've had since April 04.
I can log in to it ok but that username+password does not let me login to the forums.
Hence I had to set up another account (Arthur2) to post this.
Is this how it's supposed to work? if not why isn't my original account recognised by the forums?
