    CD/DVD Drive HELP ME PLEASE!

    Hi,

I upgraded to windows XP, and well a few minor problems have come up, but then this one has come up that is incredibly annoying! - so please help.

Well, everytime I insert a music CD, a DVD or just a data cd (or install cd), and then take it out and replace it with another disk the drive does not update, so if I am copying music from my cd collection via itunes or wmp i need to close down the application and restart it before i can start copying the next cd otherwise it throws a hissy fit.

It does this in Windows Explorer or whatever, inserting a cd, i can go into the cd look at things etc, but then if i change the cd over it doesnt update the name, and doesnt always like me accessing the new cd, as it still thinks the old cd is there.

How can I get around this? I have a DVD drive and a CDRW and it does this on both of them.

    Cheers

    Ian

    aha

I think i have solved the problem, itunes informed me that auto run has been turned off, so i switched it on, restarted the PC and it seems to be running alright now (fingers crossed)

    Cheers
