NO sound on ancient MMX !!

i'm new to the group so im not really sure if this is te rght place for this, if not then soz, but my problem is driving me spare.

borrowed a very old pentium MMX (74Mb RAM,4gig hard disk, Seven oaks motherboard) from a mate coz i was fed up going to the library every time i needed the net, well, it works okay, i think i still have issues with codecs (as there were none installed) but really having no sound is beginning to grate.

Beeps are fine, cant really get a good beat from repetitive errors!

device manager says "unknown PnP sound device" with yellow question mark

and Everest home edition tells me more specifically that it's "advane logic ALS120 audio adapter (not sound card!) with the driver missing

i searched the interweb thingy for four days and cant find anything that works

any help would be mostly appreciated by reply of a few bad jokes and puns.

cool, thanks for your reply, i followed the link to driver detective website and it shows the driver there but the link to dL it goes to Driv detec, i cant actually use driver detec cause of the limited space on my hard drive, i rekon if i sweep through i'll clean up some clutter and give DD another try !!
