hard drive converter???

i am after a female to female laptop hard drive converer they see common but i cant find one at all, any links would be great thanks

If you get one of those Easy IDE jobbies from Scan ( IDE -> USB converter ) I think they come with an adaptor for laptop hard drives.

They do indeed, and work nicely at that. Wouldn't say it was designed for permanent use, but if you want to hook up a hard-drive for a day or 2, they're what you're after.

i must be saying it wrong then, its like that on one side, so what it is, it goes onto the pins like the above one did, but then the other side is like a slot lined with contacts, looks like something simalar to ram could slot in there, and one of the contacts has borken, i dont know what its called, thanks hex i have seen those.

That bit is removable, it eases the installation into notebook chassis

If you remove that, then you would be able to plug it into the adapter, unless you are meaning you want a replacement one of those?

no i am after the part on the hdd, but if i ttake the adapter out of the laptop then the hard drive wont reach far enough down due to the length of the socket thing. so anoying. i have seen so many of them but nowhere sells them seperatly for a quid lol
