Just plug it in and it should work fine.

Once it's plugged in your mobo should recognise it and then once your into Windows ctrl panel, admin tools, comp management and then your HDD should be in there. Format and hey presto it's done. Load up Ghost point to e:

Thanks for that! When you say point Ghost to E, do you mean instal the ghost prog on e or just save the ghost images (backups) on the New E drive? So to clarify 'as i am a bit thick' I DONT need a Sata driver- I CAN use the Red sata lead to connect drive-As i have the Sata disabled in Bios do i need to Reconfigure my Bios before i plug it in? and i AM Thick as SHlT!

Make a directory on your SATA drive to hold the images, and when Ghost asks you for the location to store the backup, point it there.

I DONT need a Sata driver
If you're using XP with service pack 2 then you won't.

As i have the Sata disabled in Bios do i need to Reconfigure my Bios before i plug it in?
Er yeah, that would be a good idea . You may see a BIOS option for 'boot order'. Your IDE drive should be first in that list, but I'd advise you to leave it alone unless you run into problems. When changing things in BIOS always make a note of exactly what setting you changed, what it was before, and what you've changed it to.
