    Overwritten doc file

Just found out that a very good friend of mine has accidently overwritten the proper copy of her work on her pc with an older version from a portable hard drive. She has since turned off the computer and then decided to ring me after, otherwise I would have just gotten her to undo the copy and paste. Is there any way I can recover the proper copy of the document? I'm trying to find a program to do this but am finding it hard.

She could try loading the auto save backup of the document should that feature be enabled... Also might be worth trying the auto recover file. This is going on the basis she had these enabled. Might well be a compy lucking in the c:\temp as well as c:\windows\temp
