i just checked my pc and i have made a mistake my ram is not pc133 it is pc100!
but windows xp runs surprisingly well with 256mb of pc100!
sorry for the confusion i really did think they were pc133!
There's a slim chance a bios upgrade may help you
GB website lists FSB support as 66/100MHz which suggests PC133 memory may be overspec'd for this system, are the working 64MB dimms pc100 or pc133?

thats not always the case, I tried PC133 sticks in an old compaq deskpro that was PC100 and it point blank refused to acknowledge the new dimm.
Yes, in retrospect I seem to recall that I concluded it was a high density RAM thing.
It was a while back. Like you it already had 64Mb installed. I tried to bung in another 128Mb, but regardless of whether I ran it by itself or along with the existing 64Mb it only ever showed up as 64Mb.
The stick itself only cost about £15, so the owner was happy with it in the end.
Thank you very much for you help guy's, much appreciated.
If i find the exact solution, i will post it here.
