    HP Priner, out of warr

    Ow doo everybody.

My brother purchased a HP all in one printer (think it was the 2150 or 2510 or something). Its never worked from recieving it, unfortunatly he bought it second hand and the supplier has dissapeared.

It seems to be a simple issue, it powers up and the power light flashes non-stop and an egg timer is on display on the LCD.

My question is this, does anyone know of any HP repair centers in the North West area? It'll be a total waste of £80 if we cant get it sorted.

    Any help is appriciated.

    Cheers
    Jon

have you tried contacting hp, show em the receipt and serial no. etc i still believe they have to honour the 1yr warranty even if the company you brought has gone bankrupt

Unfortunatly it was purchased second hand and is out of the original manufacturers warranty, so its not an option.

    Thanks for the suggestion though.

hi if the printer is an hp 2510 try the following link, it has some suggestions for the printer freezing, which you might be able to do yourself, without having to pay money for a service.

HP now charge £25 just to talk to you about an out of warranty printer...

Best have a search on the net and see if there are any similar problems, there may also be a reset procedure for the internal ram etc...
