    Question Help, system wont post

The lights are on, but nobody is home...

    Built the following

    A8N32-SLI Deluxe
    X2 4400
    2GB Patriot
    X1900XTX 512MB
    2x 250GB Samsung Sata
    X-FI Fatality
    NEC DVDRW
    Floppy
    Coolermaster Stacker
Enermax EG651P-VE with the 20-24 pin adapter

There is a green light on the mobo, hit the power button and there is a very quick flash of a red light and then its back to green again.

No beeps and none of the fans spin

I have checked and double checked all the connections and it still wont post.

If i was to build the machine outside the case, what surface would u recommend?

Replacing either the PSU or Mobo isnt really what i want to do and i've seen other people using the same psu/mobo combo ok.

    Thanks

Building it outside of the case - sheet of cardboard, of kitchen worksurface? as long as both are dry it shouldn't be a problem (that is, unless you have a stainless steel kitchen )
