Question Need help system wont work

Hi, I recently bought a shuttle SB81P, it came i set it up and all worked fine. Away a few days i went and bought some new fans as it was abit loud. Installed the fans and the system stopped working.

    Spec:

    Shuttle SB81P
    Intel pentium 4
    1gb ddr corsair value select
    sapphire X1300pro
    80gb hard drive
    dvd drive

The problems is that the fans start up the small light on the mobo cames on but there is nothing on the screen, so i thought that the mobo in the shuttle was faulty so in moved my components back to my old system which worked fine when i took everything out of it

spec in this system is the same apart was the shuttle mobo, there is a Abit IG81

so i set the system up and same thing is still happening, nothing on system. And there was a beep when i turned it on but this isnt happening to.

i have tried booting with everything in, without graphics card, without ram, only with needed hardware but still nothing.

So please can someone help me

    Thanks in advice

Did the new fans have the same specs and number of pins?

Can you try the old ones?

Have you access to another psu as it might be low on power output & have you tried it without the additional fans as this fault seems to only appeared when you connected the additional fans.

The only thing I can suggest is that remove the board from the case and connect it up with just the basic components as there might be a short to the board in the case.

i tried the hard drive, ram and graphis card on another mobo and with another cpu.

    Sapphire Pe-A9RS482M
    Amd athlon 64 3000+

And it booted up and the screen worked to but a blue screen came up as xp was about to load. does this help me in finding out what is wrong. As now i know the graphics card does work. so is there a problem with my abit ig81 or my intel cpu. and is there any way to test.

As you have installed windows, I take it, originally with the pentium 4 and M/board and then try to boot off the hard drive with another board and an amd processor then you will have the blue screen problem.

So reinstall windows again with the shuttle and see if that cures your problem.
