    Sonic stage 4

    Hi

I've just bought a sony nw-s205 mp3 player, but I'm having some trouble with the sonic stage software.

I want to create a playlist, but can't see how to do it. I get a list of the tracks on my pc in the left hand window and I can open a transfer pane next to that, with a few buttons in between the two for transfering tracks to my mp3 player.

I can select to view the tracks on the player in an 'album' or playlist view, but when I add tracks to the player it puts them into the album view only.

Does anyone know how I can move the tracks to a playlist or how to create a playlist. I have looked at the help file, but it tells me to click a button that doesn't appear to be there (i.e. a playlist button that should be on the top right of the screen).

My mp3 player allows me to have playlists for running and walking - i.e. for different music to exercise to, but as I can't seem to add tracks to this, making it a bit obsolete, so any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Kel

    Hi,
I use sony Connect software and I am not sure how similar they are, I am guessing they have the same functionality

I can create playlists one of two ways...

Click tools then new playlist. Drag songs ont the playlist. Then sync it

    or

start a song playing then in the left window pane click add to new playlist.

The latest version of sonic stage I can find on sony site is Sonic Stage 4.2 have you tried updating to this to see if it remedies the problem?

    Hi

Just figured it out, you have different panes for each thing.

So I had to create a playlist on my computer first with sonic stage, then I had to select the transfer tab and then make sure that my library pane was in playlists view.

Talk about long winded and overcomplicated, drag n drop would be far easier!

    Thanks Anyway
    Kel
