I'm the editor and I can categorically say that I have never won any of the competitions, nor do I know of any staff that have.

Mind you, I'm not allowed to enter, per the terms and conditions.

95 per cent of prizes are shipped directly from the manufacturer, so if you so want, we'll be happy to encourage some of them to post and verify that real people do indeed win them.

If you need someone to verify that prizes are sent, I'd be glad to accept the responsibility once I receive mine *hint hint*.

Do real people win these competitions? This is the internet - if something even remotely smells bad, it will be the headline for every competing site on the web. I've certainly never seen anything remotely close to that, re: Hexus or pretty much anyone else, for that matter....

so, as they say on this side of the pond - crap or get off the pot. Make the accusation, provide proof, or let it go...

yes same problem here , but it does say in the rules that is listed in the lower part of the page "1 entry per household " . so if you enter on facebook as well does this not void your site entry/facebook entry ?
