I liked the idea of this until I read "Your photos are securely saved, accessible at a moment’s notice and organized using our state-of-the-art smart system for only $9 (+ tax where applicable) per month, starting year 2. First year is free!"

If I need to pay to keep this device functional then I'm not interested.

Useful for drivers who want to record what has happened on the road when involved in an accident.

Those people would rather want a video camera (dash cam) that starts recording nonstop as soon as the engine starts, rather than a camera that takes still pictures every now and then and automagically becomes a useless brick if you don't pay for the subscription stuff (see ET3D's post).

http://www.youtube.com/techmoan << this guy reviews various cheap car dashcams, "spy"cams and other stuff
http://www.youtube.com/user/VodkaVideo/videos <<< ..and this channel is devoted to dashcam crashes. I find those interesting to watch for some strange reason O.o

(Some of the earlier videos on the VodkaVideo channel are blocked in some countries due to the music used in them. So if some "episode" numbers are missing, that's why. In Germany, it starts with #2 and then goes straight to #7. all the ones in between are blocked here, which sucks, but that's what proxy servers are for )

Re: Features - Epic Giveaway Day 7: Win a Narrative Clip

Oh man, talk about bad timing. What with the NSA, GCHQ et al. Trying to flog a camera that literally tracks everything you do, location as well as images of who you met. That's gotta be a hard sell.
Where are the servers? Do users have any protection or encryption. If the service was truly TNO then maybe you could get away with it.

Marketing guys will have a tough time with this. Shame as the idea is good, just timing... Maybe two years ago but now.
