When you realise just how many age groups there are before you even get to yours -

I think that 'when you realise you'll never move an age group again' is the one to watch for.

(I won't be entering - I have no use for such a card, and while the odds against will be staggering - it would be unfair if I did win)

I wouldn't bet on it. Chances are, if you want the best quality-bitrate ratio, you're still going to have to do CPU encoding with a slow enough preset that your CPU can handle for the framerate you're feeding it with.
