SHOULD be weighted toward UK , usa alone has a potential to overload the votes based on population, if not readership. i am glad to participate in any of them though i have not won, i never win, in over 65yrs of entering competitions , lotteries etc not once. this is easy, costs nothing to lose , unlike local ,state lotteries that one must pay to lose.
    sorry, no rant intended.

I don't wish to sound ungrateful for the awesome contests, I do really appreciate them. But it is a disappointment when HEXUS hosts a contest stating that "It's our way of saying thank you to all our fabulous readers." and then they turn around in the same contest and say it is for the UK only. Obviously this contest isn't for all of the readers.

Yes, ignoring the rest of the world does mean it is easier for UK readers to win, but we all count towards the ad revenue that is "paying the bills". So we all deserve a fair chance.

To the sponsoring companies I would say that by making this decision they are endearing themselves to the UK populatation. But I hope they realize that in the same breath they are telling the rest of the world that we don't matter to them.

Still, in the end I am happy to have some nice contests to enter!

Considering the glut of USA only competitions and offers along etc I find it odd the people from that neck of the woods(not that I am saying everyone is) complain about the few other places that are X only while saying 'suck it up' to others over USA only stuff. It comes across as somewhat hypocritical and entitled.
    Honour in peace,

    A leprichaun talks to me....
