Competitions - Thank you

This is just a BIG thank you to all @Hexus.net and their partners/associates that have been involved in this year's #epicgiveaway 2020.
Not everyone might have won a prize, but the lucky few that will/have congratulations. (yes, not all the competitions have ended just yet.- At the time of writing this post. So if you have not already entered, do so quickly before time runs out)

I'd echo that, not that I've ever won anything in all these years.

On a more not so serious note have the notification emails that used to get sent when entering a compo been stopped or is it something on my end? I did a cursory check of my ISPs spam filtering but maybe i missed something.

it would be useful to know the title keywords and/or sender address for whitelisting as I always worry my spam filter will nobble it and I'll miss out!

Yea, i was getting them at the start of this years compo but then they stopped, I've only just now checked my email settings and discovered I've not even got spam filtering turned on (only taken me 5+ years to learn that ) so i guess it's not on my end.

I'd assumed winning notifications were handled through the forums, IDK, be gutting to know you've missed out wouldn't it.

Was the other way round for me, nothing at the start of the comps, but coming through fine for the later ones. I was lucky enbough to win a "forum members" draw a few years back and that was a private message, but I think it's slightly different T&Cs for the proper comnpetitions, expect an email for those.

Was it more effort for you to quote and respond than tell me the actual answer - as presumably you've looked that up - and that more effort than not responding at all?

The system begun auto drawing people and they wil get emails to say they've won... then if they dont reply in time it auto draws again.

Some of them are being drawn and notified right now, while others have not even closed, yet. Ergo each one will likely have a different date by which the winners shall be notified... which you'd know if you checked the Tcs and Cs, as I suggested or actually read them at the time of your entry.

And no, it was far less effort than trawling every page to get each specific date for each specific competition... and no, I didn't need to look it up - HEXUS always have the Ts & Cs at the bottom, even after they've closed entry, so that people such as yourself can still find answers to their burning questions.

Let's hope the "winning" emails are more consistent than the "thanks for entering" ones. I got emails confirming my entry for about half of those I actually entered, despite seeing the instant "thankyou" page. So I know the entries registered, but only got about half confirmed by email.

Would hate to lose a prize, if lucky enough to win, because of email vagaries.

I got most confirmations this year . Sometimes you need to add the Alerts(at)Hexus.net in you list of contacts.

By doing this, an over zealous spam filter will not push to junk/spam or even at worst block it all together. And the notification will stay in your inbox (unless you later discard the e-mails as junk.. Then contact info will treat all further emails from said address as junk.. In which case you may need to delete the contact and re add to reset preferences.)
- just a little something I found when I stopped receiving notifications from a forum I had joined a few years ago, could not work it out why I wasn't getting the notifications any longer. Then it dawned on me.
