Nice, never actually tried a curved screen, not sure how I'd get along with one, this would be a good way to find out...

Same here, always looked interesting, but usual right out of my 'bottom of the barrel' price range.

The answers to the question are a bit subjective, don't you think?

Is that not down to the company supplying the prizes and where they're willing to post them?
I see a great many similar competitions on other places, where the company will only send prizes in the CONUS, or mainland Europe, for example.

Nah. It's clearly reduced lag. Light only travels so fast, bringing the edges of the screen closer means events which happen in those areas will reach your eyes quicker.

Or that the curved edges are closer, meaning you don't have to stretch so far, which makes cleaning easier....

There's loads of competitions that are global, but the recipients of the prizes are set by the person giving the stuff away, you might find that Iiyama in this case, do similar competitions with reviewers based in other geographical locations, I'm sure you can go check other websites out to confirm this, just be wary of people being salty because they're not in a location where they can enter said competitions though...

No idea what the reason is or who decides that. I just know that there used to be a lot more giveaways and only some of them were UK only and some Europe only, now there barely are any and almost all are UK only.

Re: Win a monitor in the iiyama Kick Ass Curved Giveaway

It is up to the prize supplier, and the reason is probably that shipping stuff around the world is a bit of a pain at the moment.

It's the same for UK residents when we go on the American forums.
