The standard connector for PC audio is a 3.5mm stereo plug, it sounds like one of you pairs of headphones has a 1/4" plug instead.

This adapter will sort it out:
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...=3.5mm&doy=3m5

You can also get extensions for your headphones as well

    1/4" extension:

    3.5mm extension:

As for wireless heaphones, have a look at the ones that Scan stock:

These should all be available in lots of other places, such as Dixons, John Lewis, Argos, Comet, etc.

    Hope this is of help

    Hi Dave 87
Thanks for your reply too. I just went and bought an extension, and I didnt even realise that that hole was at the bottom of the speaker! DER! How thick am I? Now I can listen comfortably!!! THANK YOU! xx

Dont spoz U know what I can use to connect my vhsc AV leaded camcorder to my PC with Do U? The people I purchased my PC from know Im green behind the ears and I think theyr trying to rip me off! Could U advise on a suitable connection? Can I transfr stuff from my AV leads to the headphn socket or do I hav to use USB and dyou know if they make such a cable. I have NOT got a firewire socket, apparently, (I dont know where to look for it - the seller told me I aint - but they can fit one for £300 I think the quote was for...I only bought the Pc last July. Its a Pentium 4 supposed to be.. but who knows???) I wouldv presumed things like that should have come with it, but there you go!! I do, however, have a little square glass bit that looks similar that I found in this desk that I bought 2nd hand, dyou think I could get some cable and use that maybe. Xcuse me for being a nusience. Ive no1 to ask since my hubby died. xx

Fitting something like this should do the trick:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=427470

It comes with software and can capture using firewire if your camera has that or analogue if it doesn't.

    Or there is this:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=367001

It captures over USB so you don't have to open your PC to install it.

There are lots of options, ranging from about £20, all the way up to £1,500

EDIT: You might want to start a new thread in another forum for any further queries, save cluttering this one up with different posts

    Good Evening Funkstar
Ive been and had a look at all the options you have suggested.
The headphones new are completely out of my price range, but now I know theyr out there, when Im better able to do so I'm going in for another look. Obviously wireless ones would suit better with the treadmill situation.
I did note that the swirly headphone socket item had a lead of 5metres on it. Thats also suitable for the situ with the treadmill as it stands at the moment.
The other two... well I will take what youve said on board with those too, and I can only thank you from the bottom of my heart. Youve made an old gal happy today, thats for sure.
You are all so pleasant on Hexas, a welcome site! xx
