I just find it funny that owners of the PS3 constantly seem to want to reassure themselves that what they have done is the right thing, that they've not paid too much money, and even Sony themselves are now trying to reassure you that you've not paid too much money. Where theres smoke... theres fire.

It works both ways. Other people could look at your comments for you saying this as being defensive - and justifying your xbox 360 over a PS3?

if youv bought it as a movie player you shouldn't be bigging it up in hexus.gaming IMHO

Well, I paid £350 for mine - and after having it this long in reflection i would of payed the £425 anyway.

I was going to buy a blu-ray player for £550 and the PS3's blu-ray player is actually better - how am i throwing money away? especially when you add...

1. Great games
2. free internet gaming access
3. full 1080p
4. Media Streaming
5. Leading 1080p DVD Upscaling dvd capabilities
6. Remote play with PSP.
7. Quiet and cool running (unlike my old xbox)

The list could go on but you get the picture and i now have more motorstorm to play

Ugh.

Where are Shadows of the Colossus 2 and God of War 3 and We Know Katamari Is Sony Exclusive! and Final Fantasy XIII and XIV and basically all the titles that made me 'invest' £40 in a PS2.

Even at £350, the PS3 cannot possibly sell itself to me. Heck, I played a game on another forum where you have to decide between a £180 Wii and a £180 PS3. The Wii won it for me.

Softcore gamers will prefer the Wii. Hardcore gamers will already have something hardcore, so why invest in PS3? Sony have created a market of three million fanboys, and have already sold to them.

I'll still buy a £40 PS3, though - even a £100 PS3, maybe. They haven't done SO badly that they can't give them away.

Personally it's really not worth me buying one just yet. Even for 350 theres just no reason to. IMO the 360 has far better online capabilities and seems to be a lot more polished. Not being able to access messages during a game? How retarded is that?

I'm going to eat my words that I've said quite a lot before, it's really not just about the games anymore. But it still is a big part, and I'm waiting for some good games to come out that are exclusive to the PS3 before I even consider buying one.
