HEXUS.tv - features :: Doing it Dolby style

We know the name from our DVD surround sound, but what technology does Dolby bring to the PC? We found out at COMPUTEX 2007.

    The interviewee? Not the interviewer?

Phew, that's me off the hook then.

I don't know if I just wasn't listening properly or something, but where can I get this dolby home theatre software from? Is it free?

I did a search, but "dolby" and "home" and "theatre" appear on a lot of pages together .

Well that was a pointlessly violent post.

I'm not sure it's a software only solution, I think it's hardware and software combined.

Ah right. It just sounded like it could be used with any piece of hardware you had to throw at it. He didn't mention anything specific, just headphones/speaks/laptop speakers/5.1 surround sound speakers etc.

I'l mail em for you to check but I'm pretty sure that if it is a software solution you'll have to buy a bit of hardware to get the software, if you see what I mean... it might even be firmware.
