I can understand your ire but are you really suprised when you ring a directory enquiries service and ask for train timetable info? National Rail Enquiries is your friend....
thetrainline.com isn't a good place to get up-to-date info either - just ask Agent about the debacle last month with trains running, not running, coaches and changes galore.
So, er, just use nationalrail's site (or their WAP site if you're really in a rush and want those pages to load fast with no pics). I use it all the time, works like a charm on my Vario 2.
Ringing 118 118 to get train timetables is either very brave or very foolhardy, plus I flatly refuse to pay anything on top of my monthly phone bill unless I absolutely have no other alternative (and how bloody expensive are the 118 services from mobiles these days?!)
I like ellipses...
