Just for the record, I went to Showcase Cinema in Walsall again last week to watch The Golden Compass. The movie was below average but it's worth driving that little bit further to go to Walsall than Wolverhampton. The cinema was nearly full and there was hardly a squeak throughout the whole movie!

I just turn up to buy the tickets about 10 mins after the stated start time. This way I will avoid the lamer of the ads and just have to put up with a few.

Occasionally if there were long queues at the ticket counter, it might make me a bit late for the movie itself - but thats ok with me.

I dont bloody want to pay a small fortune and then be forced to watch lame advertisements that I cant even forward through.

I go to the cinema a fair bit (for some reason) and I'm aware of the noise of other ****wits constantly. Newport and Gloucester cinemas are terrible.

Adverts seem to be getting longer too, I'm finding them more irritating on tv as well.
I am, however, a grumpy old man.

I like to be at the cinema for before the lights go off, it irritates me having to find a seat and disturb other people though a lot seem to come in after the film's started too.
    Hmmmm.

In Walsall and didn't visit ?!

I was going to watch that yesterday, maybe I'll go mid-week.

Have you seen Enchanted or Stardust? If so, which one do you recommend out of those three? Something Christmassy.

oooh you've done it now, I may pop over next time I'm there!

I'd recommend Stardust mate, especially if you're taking Chante. It's a really nice 'chill out' film. It has a mix of everything, romance, comedy, action, fantasy. It'll make for perfect Christmas viewing.

I'm gonna go see Enchanted on the weekend, will let you know how it goes.
