PS3 slim rumoured for Autumn 2008

HMM i dont really see it as a problem, i own about 10 games and at the moment i'm playing about 4 of them, and i'm far from bored of it, it seems as i'm getting into one game another comes out to keep me going, but then we all have different tastes in games.

I think Agent is talking about the fact that there haven't been any exclusive big hitters yet like the 360 has had. The PS3, hasn't had its GOW, MEffect, Halo3, Forza2 type of game yet, where people feel they have to own that game which means going out and buying a PS3. Thats how I feel about it anyway; I want a PS3 but there isn't a big enough reason for me to spend the money on one yet.

True.. there has been uncharted and ratchet and clank both are better games than most of the ported games, but i think your opinion will change during the year once more exclusives come out.

Part of the reason i went for the PS3 is to get away from those games that you mentioned above, Halo3 etc really do nothing for me.

And conversely i would disagree strongly that there has been no big exclusives for the PS3, as it would appear do other people. The top Hexus games list of last year showcases 2 amazing exclusives to the ps3. I saw 0 exclusives for the 360 from last year in that list?

Nice find, didnt know that. As i have said before the exclusives turn out better than ported games do, so bring on the exclusives!!!

So T3 have taken the bottom half of a Slimline PS2 and the top half of a PS3... that's imaginative.

In all honestly the PS3 looks good as it is and the size adds to its appeal in my opinion, a slimline one this early would be technically difficult and pointless in my eyes.

That's mainly because it's very easy to co-develop a PC and 360 game, Bioshock was created for the 360, the entire design had the 360 in mind. They then designed a PC version of it along side it with very minor changes so it fit the PC a bit better.

Yes I am actually looking forward to GT5, MGS and LBP.

Likewise the bit-tech top 10 didn't feature a single PS3 exclusive, so where are we at? You say it's all personal preference, well isn't that top 10 list by hexus personal preference? Isn't the Bit-tech list personal preference? I mean the word "us" was used in the second sentence of the hexus article.

In any case did those two games in that list have the same influence on the PS3 as GoW, Halo 3, Forza 2 had on the 360? Did people lose the plot, sell their cat and buy a PS3 just to play those games? Was that sort of frenzied atmosphere created when those games were released? In 4 years time will people look back and remember R&CF being released or DF being released? Will they be remembered as key points or highlights over the course of the PS3's life cycle?

Now how likely is it that the likes GoW, Halo 3, Forza 2 will be remembered in 4 years time? Would these games standout over the course of the 360's life cycle? Those games were big releases for the platform. Whether you like it or not, the game lineup for the PS3 is what it is, and it hasn't had the big hitting games that the 360 has had. When GT5 and MGS (hopefully LBP will be worth it to) come out, then you can say the PS3 has had big/important title releases.
