Yes - that was rather fun :-)

(Or give the option of playing as Lo Wang in DNF :-))

Re: Duke Nukem Forever this year! Not that old chestnut

Well release date is still up in the air. Been looking at the 3D Realms forums and came across this nugget from a staff member :

DNF Confirmed for 2008, and confirmed for 360/PS3! - Page 4 - 3D Realms Forums

Incase anyone is wondering the post number it is 127 for the comment made by the member of staff.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever this year! Not that old chestnut

SO instead of just trying to get a PC version out they are gonna decide to crash and burn spectacularly instead

Was reading an article on 1up.com last night it was a review of 2007 and some predictions for 2008 I like this one about DNF

    Duke Nukem Forever No More

It's just impossible to wrap your mind upon how this thing is still going, and the teaser that hit last month didn't make it any easier. The brain just keeps reaching for an explanation for how this thing can be so persistent in its nonexistence. Why hasn't the plug been pulled? Some impenetrably arcane tax reason? The most elaborate and long running practical joke ever? Anything is believable at this point. We'll prognosticate that April 1st 2008 will be the day 3DRealms finally runs across the stage making finger pistols and finally lets us know we got punked. Likely? Probably not, but it'd be awesome if a wild guess like that turned out to be right.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever this year! Not that old chestnut

Is there any reason why DNF would take so long? We waited ages for Crysis etc but it promised to bring new development to the genre etc...

But isn't DNF gonna be a cartoony shooter?

They must all be constantly getting stoned or drunk to take that long.. Or maybe the development team have only just finished the original one on the hardest setting..

Re: Duke Nukem Forever this year! Not that old chestnut

    hehe.

The reason its taken so long is that the Team seem to change the engine as much as they change their pants

FIngers crossed it`ll come out this year and they will pull off the impossible and make a game worthy of the hype
