Ive seen some early tests and not bad, certainly a choice for the completely silent pc build. Weighs a tad more than Scythe Ninja cooler.

Re: Scythe shows off huge new CPU cooler - Orochi

I don't understand why the Orochi is even being compared against other coolers when the Orochi has been designed to cool a quad core in silence with it's fin pitch and the stock fan at 500rpm , It's not aimed at overclocking so what difference does it make if the temps are in the 40's or the high 50's aslong as it's below the max working temp of the chip and the thermal throttle has not kicked in and without the drone or air rush of a fan against a tighter fin packed cooler ?

Doesn't such Heavy Heatsinks dangling from a Motherboard increase the chances that the motherboard will crack due to sheer Tension ?

as soon as the case is put in its vertical position it would just snap clean off the board!

Cooling the Northbridge is gona be a problem unless a Thermalright SLI HR-05 will fit under it.

Not if you flip the fan around and suck air up across the motherboard. But that's just getting silly big.

I see Frostytech have placed the Orochi at No 1 in it's silence charts.
