American women getting geekier by the day

Mine plays computer games, including MMORPG's, does that count? As a side note to other people, City of Heroes is a great MMORPG to get girls into the genre, very light in complexity, very social and the costume designer is often popular

It all depends on how they obtained the data, ofcourse. If the sample was taken through a medium that favoured already tech-savvy women (for example, tech websites, tech jobs, volunteers) the results might be quite skewed.

It wouldn't surprise me though... Some women have a cell phone for each hand bag, and they know how to operate it better than most men. Online chatting, blogging, anything related to communications... Digital cameras, mp3 players... All "lifestyle" products where the interest isn't the technical side in and of itself. As long as it's something they can use for their own purposes in their own strange "female" world.

Hardcore technical interest... not so much.
