Re: Headlines - Scan.co.uk launches refined website

Has it been tested in Opera - as it doesn't seem to display items properly? (the list of items ends up right at the bottom of the page)

Obviously it must be there somewhere, Scan can't have put all this effort into a new website without giving the features that people on the forums have been begging for over a year!
    This is a "to-follow" I believe...

Re: Headlines - Scan.co.uk launches refined website

Yup yup, very slow for me too.

Has a hybrid XP/Vista theme feel to it

    Looks nice though.

I preferred the way you looked at sub-categories on the old site, where a list came up when you hovered over the component and you could go straight to it, rather than loading up another page and tick the boxes you want.

Also I feel theres a bit too much in the way when you view your selection, you have to scroll down more than one would like to.

Maybe thats just me being picky, though
And a combo of the fact that I'm in 1152x864!

Re: Headlines - Scan.co.uk launches refined website

I find the category check box section too big (with text spaced out too much) meaning I have to scroll further. I miss the old advanced search with order by price etc.
I preferred the old hover over categories. I miss the Todayonly please bring it back, also the mix bundle. Shop offers now just shows all the products of that manufacturer, Are there going to be special offers by shop? Speed seemed to be a problem.

On the plus side I like the row/large view.

Today Only is back today - as we promised.

Shop Offers will be back in due course.

Search Filters will be back in due course.

Speed is being optimised all the time.

Re: Headlines - Scan.co.uk launches refined website

Its "busy" on screen and more graphics... less is more IMHO.

And why is there not a search within a category or search within search results...

Try search for Akasa - many pages.. oh I wanted that thermal tape thing... hmmm have to go and re-do the search now?
