I gave up waiting and opted for an HP iPAQ 614c. With a fair wind and all the discounts, vouchers and Quidco arriving, I will have paid £150 for this, SIM free.
I've ordered a Vodafone contract SIM with £90 Quidco cashback, so free calls for around 5 months
27 hours and still havent been activated on 02's service.
Customers are now been told to wait untill monday for them to clear the backlog nice.
I managed to pick up a 16GB white iPhone from the Apple store in London. I did order on the Monday but O2 messed up my order so canceled it.
Apple stores have tons of stock and O2 are left with one of the worst product launches in recent years
o2 finally updated my sim today about damn time.
All o2 stores/online have been told not to sell anymore phones till the backlog is cleared apprently.

So did you have to sign a contract in store or what?
yeap an 18 month contract.
The Apple store have access to O2 computer systems.

yeah i know its embrassing even though its a phone its more than a phone, because on internet on the go and being able to watch videos on the go just these little luxuries i guess.
Should get mine from CPW today! I wouldn't queue but did take advantage of my jet lag whilst in the US to order one at 2am whilst they had stock.
