I'm glad Microsoft are entering the race...any competition to Steam is welcomed in my view giving them even more incentive to make steam more efficient and effective.

At the moment though not too happy with steam. also downloaded the orange box and not too impressed by steam as a download manager - didn't give much information (ie size of download) or many options to configure it. However haven't tested it's community features yet as nearly all my friends don't play online.

im a big fan of steam, the number of times iv bought a game, installed it and played it, only to format my PC 6 months later & find iv lost the small bit of paper with the serial code on it. With steam its as easy as logging on & then re-downloading the game. iv never had problems downloading, or them taking more then a few hours. This is based on the PCs & connections iv used, a 2mb connectio, a 8mb conection & a 9mb connection).
