The only thing that never has seemed to port well to any console I've had has always been RTS's. Command and Conquer was brilliant on the PC, but I couldn't imagine a console doing particularly well, except perhaps the Wii? Have there been any Wii Strategy games yet?

Well PCs do FPS and RTS games better, but its not as black and white as that. I remember having a blast on Command and COnquer on the PS1 years ago, and on the FPS front there has never, ever, evereverever, ev0r been a FPS as fun as Goldeneye on the N64.

PCs do it better does not equal - consoles can't do it. Halo, for example... thats quite a well known game its sold quiet a few copies on consoles as well...

i actually prefer playing fps games on my 360 now, mainly due to knowing that there arent tons of wallhacks and aimbots being used. And before anyone says it yes i know there is punkbuster but its always a step behind the cheats.

yes the controller isnt quite as accurate, but when used to it there really isnt that much difference.

Yup. I can have more fun on a console FPS than on a PC. Xbox live helps.

You do realise Live! is now free on Windows and you can use the 360 pad on the PC too? Sort of leaves no reason to play 360 games these days

I have to admit the prics of games for consoles is kind of offputting.
