Doesn't anyone else here think thats slight overkill?
yeh but no but yeh
prices falling? add impressive sounding but ultimately meaningless features to justify higher prices. simple.
anyone who thinks they can tell the difference is kidding themselves.
I love the video engadget put up to demonstrate it..
Camcorder at 50Hz (at best), trying to record a 200Hz picture.. Brilliant!

Shame they don't unveil any useful features like a decent built in freeview upscaler.
way overkill, the human eyes/brain cant even work that fast.
Nice feat of engineering, massive frequency for LCD to run at and at least there will be no motion blur.
If i had the cash i wud probs opt for the Toshiba one mentioned yesterday as it features their interesting scaling technology
I agree thats a bit daft, if the camera/screen was CRT then it wud make sense as a video as it would clearly show that the scan rate didnt have to be synced up to camera record rate. Guessing its not as tube cameras havent really been in use for a while now.
