News - Smartparts launches mammoth 32in digital photo frame

If you've got the wall space, and there's nothing on the tele, why not opt for a whopping-big photo frame instead?

Can't see many of these selling. You could bundle a fully functioning PC behind there & then some, now that's be a bit better.

Erm, why not just buy a 32" TV and call that a photo frame, but with extra functionality (like being able to watch TV )

Why would anyone buy that over a normal TV, especially with OLED expected next year?

Why not just buy a Panasonic TX-32LXD80... ok you don't have Wi-Fi and it only uses an SD slot but you have the fact it is a TV and SD cards are the cheapest anyway....

    Ho hum...

Actually, it would make more sense surely, to connect a computer to the TV and use it as for TV/internet/DVDs/everything else. I never saw the point of digital photo frames, they look so tacky with the power cable trailing off to the plug.

i like the idea, i think it will be a good centerpiece in a home

in a time when screens are getting replaced for slimline screens
and technologys are becoming cheeper, and more afordable to the masses, you could have this display paintings, and then when the mood suited, rather than change your painting, just change your jpeg

    its a good idea imo..

    I'm guessing it's not exactly eco-friendly, leaving a 32" screen on 24/7.

Good point. Where is the power lead in that photo?
