    A very interesting explanation.

The GPS on my TytnII seems to be at least reasonably accourate. If I load up Google maps wand zoom in when standing in my garden it places me within a few feet of where I'm actually standing.

Sub metre accuracy is probably important if you're trying to put a bomb down a chimney but for my purposes it's fine as it is.

SARAC has a point that when using mobile phone GPS for walking about a city (which is where i spend 80% of the time using mine) it spends a fair while in your pocket. Reason is you've glanced at google/live maps, you aren't going to be coming upto a junction for another minuite at least. So why keep staring at your phone?

As it stands thou, i don't find a problem my glofiish x800 sits perfectly in my coats breast pocket, normally still able to give a lock with 3meter confidence.

I think the biggest problem is the iPod factor, people want to use in-apropriate materials to make their phone look cool, these can really hinder performance.
