Considering the Macbook has been shunted up to a higher notch and the old version is being kept around purely for educational sales this is less than a suprise. It does fly in the face of Apple's Macs are for everyone message though.

Thinking about it again, if Apple were to launch a netbook the Mini and the low end Macbook would probably have to go, hence why neither have been upgraded.
Hope this doesn't ring the death knell for Plex (www.plexapp.com) too. I guess you could replace a macmini with a low end macbook, but that's massive massive overkill.
If they added a decent IGP and the ability to upgrade the hard drive + ram yourself then i reckon they would see much better sales!
