A few good new features but what I'm waiting to find out about W7 is whether it is subscription based or not and how much improvement has been made to system performance.

Are they still banging on about subscription? They should rely on upgrades being good enough for people to buy, not get the money anyway. I don't think people will accept that, they didn't introduce it with XP, nor with Vista, I'd be surprised to see them try it now...
