well obviously theres a market and lets be honest hardware enthusiasts i.e us know the differnce but to the average joe it looks cool, must be good, and obv worth the extra couple of thousand for a complete wendel pc.
i spent extra on a GPU heatsink back in the x850xt days on a fatality HS, simply becuase it was black and lighted up
Not sure if a 9800GX2 counts as a single GPU here, and I don't know how much power the 4870X2 takes, but the 9800GX2 needs an 8-pin and a 6-pin connector. That makes a theoretical power draw of 150W+75W+75W (for PCI-e power). Add an "energy efficient" Q6600 CPU at 95W and all of a sudden you're over your 400W PSU at 80% efficiency without even factoring in RAM or hard drives.
So, still not convinced by the gamer's PSU title!
Btw, does anyone know how much power a HDD/ODD actually draws?
