I assume eventually this sort of technology will eventually replace hard drives, and perhaps we're finally getting to the point where we can see that time arriving ..... and it's certainly been in the offing for long enough.

No doubt, there will be people paying that sort of price because they want the latest tech, and no doubt, there'll be some for whom it's a decision based on good reasons. But for me, the price capacity ratio will have to drop a LOT before I'll be interested. I might pay a premium over hard drives, but not much of one and certainly nothing close to that. So for now, the moths in my wallet are in no danger of having their slumber disturbed by these. When they get to a quarter of that price for six times that capacity, I'll wake them up.

Most people don't need 128GB of fast data. the MLC Intel stuff at 80gig is about that price and twice as fast.
And, by my criteria, far too expensive for that capacity.
