The biggest problem with Philips high end TVs, other than the price, is that they are really unreliable - so if you do pick one up, make sure it comes with a 5 year protection plan!

Are they? My parents bought a high end philips lcd 5 years ago and its still going strong. And I still have an old philips CRT that has been working for the last 15 years.

i have to agree about the reliability thing. weve had a philips 42" plasma thats been going good just over 5 years now.
